Career coaching is a one-to-one interaction between a career coach and a client usually ongoing. It offers a client an opportunity to work with a career professional on a number of career related issues. It focuses on exploring career questions and options and sessions might be a single session or several over a number of weeks.
I use the person-centred, solution-focused approach. This approach involves acknowledging the ability of the individual to come up with solutions for the future. The approach used is dependent on the issue and can be adapted to the problem at hand.
For instance, if you need to deal with a specific issue like a CV review, covering letter or interview coaching for an up-and-coming job application then we will concentrate on that. However, if your career related issue is to deal with for example career change, and exploring career options then we may spend more time in terms of sessions looking at your career history.
Sessions can range from one to several (up to six sessions) depending on your needs. Needs meaning the career issues that you may have and present.
For example, one session might be enough for some clients to address a specific issue while others might like more than one session in order to explore issues in more depth. In these cases, you can book sessions and pay for them as you go along.
Fees is available for a range of incomes and are charged at an hourly rate per 60 minutes session.
Initial consultation of up to 30 minutes is free of charge. For subsequent charge a career coaching package can be tailored to suit individual budgets.
Sessions can take place online via Zoom, Skype, or MS Teams. Clients can travel to the office for face-to-face meetings and I can travel to company locations. In the later, office hire costs and travel costs will be added to the fees.
